Amazon Game Studios rolled out a new way to find Luna games: a Games tab built directly into the Prime Video app on Fire TV. Prime members in the US and UK can open Prime Video, sit next to the shows and movies they already browse, and start playing without leaving the app.
What actually changed
This is not a new subscription or a separate storefront. Games included with a standard Prime membership now show up alongside video content in the same interface. You pick a game the way you pick a movie, and it launches with a controller or your phone as the input. Nothing to download, nothing to buy, before you play.
Jeff Gattis, Amazon's GM of Gaming, framed the move as removing the extra step that keeps casual players away from games: instead of hunting for a separate app or storefront, Prime members find games the same way they already find everything else on Prime Video.
What is already in the library
The Prime-included catalog covers recognizable names like Hogwarts Legacy, EA Sports FC 26, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, plus Luna's GameNight lineup of party titles built for groups, including Clue, Ticket to Ride, and Taboo. Amazon says new games are added every month, so the launch list is a floor, not the whole plan.
The watch-then-play pitch
Amazon is leaning on its own franchises to make the case for playing right after watching. Masters of the Universe streams on Prime Video, and Luna pairs it with Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite, a co-op card battler for up to four players as He-Man, Skeletor, and the rest of Eternia. There is also Courtroom Chaos: Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, an AI-powered party game where everyone argues cases in front of Arnold using their phone as the controller, no setup required. Arnold shows up again later this year in The Man with the Bag, Prime Video's upcoming holiday movie, which sets up the same watch-it-then-play-it loop.
What is not part of this launch
The Games tab surfaces the Prime-included library, the tier every Prime member already has. Luna's separate Premium subscription, the paid tier with a deeper catalog, is not accessible through the Prime Video app at launch. If you want that expanded library, you still need the standalone Luna app or site for now.
Amazon says more devices and more countries are coming, so this rollout is a starting point rather than the finished shape of Luna inside Prime Video. Treat the current US and UK, Fire TV only footprint as day one, not the ceiling.
