SCS just put another pin in the Northern Plains. American Truck Simulator’s next full state map expansion is North Dakota, officially introduced on the SCS Software blog with a wishlist page live and a release date still marked to be announced.
If you haul for the vibes (and the cargo board), this is the Peace Garden State drop: prairies, farm loads, oilfield work, roadside sculptures, and the kind of long sightlines that make cruise control feel like a lifestyle.
Watch the intro
SCS’s Introducing North Dakota trailer is the vibe check: semis against bison, small towns, and landmark gags that only make sense if you have actually driven I-94 sober.
What SCS says is in the state
From the official blog:
Welcome to the Peace Garden State! Bordering Canada to the north, North Dakota is a land of sweeping prairies, fertile farmland, winding rivers, and skies that seem to stretch forever. Whether you're rolling into the capital city of Bismarck, navigating the busy streets of Fargo, or passing through communities such as Pembina and the Devil's Lake region, every stop offers a different glimpse into the character of this northern state.
The Steam store write-up fills in the delivery network and tourist bait:
| Expect | Details |
|---|---|
| Major cities | Fargo, Bismarck, Grand Forks, Minot, Williston |
| Scenic / small stops | Medora (Theodore Roosevelt National Park), Enchanted Highway sculptures |
