If you held off on AdHoc Studio's superhero workplace comedy until it hit Xbox, the wait is over. Dispatch is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, with Xbox Play Anywhere progress sharing. Xbox's launch trailer is the short version of the pitch: misfit heroes, bad office politics, and you as the dispatcher who has to make the call.
What you can buy today
| Edition | Price (Xbox Wire) | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $29.99 | Full game, all episodes |
| Deluxe | $39.99 | Game plus four digital comics and a 100+ page digital artbook |
One Xbox purchase covers Series X|S and Windows PC under Play Anywhere, with progress carried between them. Store listing: Dispatch on Xbox.
Steam players already had it on October 22, 2025. PlayStation 5 and Switch / Switch 2 also shipped earlier in the rollout. The Xbox drop is the catch-up for players who wanted Microsoft's store, Cloud, or a single license that spans console and PC.

What the game actually is
You play Robert Robertson, AKA Mecha Man. His mech suit is wrecked, so he ends up at a superhero dispatch center not as the cape on the street, but as the voice assigning calls. Story segments and dispatch map segments feed each other: relationship choices change who you can send, and field results push the plot.
AdHoc's Co-Creative Director Dennis Lenart spelled out the design goal on Xbox Wire:
One of our longstanding problems with some of the narrative-based games we'd worked on in the past was that we'd have these great interactive cinematic story scenes where we were advancing the character relationships and the story, followed by gameplay that often felt tacked on, slowed down the pacing, and was less-focused on the characters. Solving that disconnect was one of our main goals at AdHoc, and Dispatch was the first example of it working.
That is the utility pitch in one paragraph. If you bounced off older narrative adventures because the "gameplay" felt like homework between cutscenes, this is the studio claiming they fixed the rhythm.

Cast and platform checklist
The Xbox Wire store blurb lists a stacked cast, including Aaron Paul as a headline draw, plus Laura Bailey, Erin Yvette, Travis Willingham, Matthew Mercer, Jeffrey Wright, and streamer / creator voices such as MoistCr1TiKaL and Jacksepticeye. Treat that as a "who is in this" map, not a spoiler sheet.

What to do next
If you want it on Xbox hardware or handhelds that run the Xbox PC app, buy through the Xbox store page and keep the Play Anywhere save in mind. If you already own it on Steam or PlayStation, this is not a new story. It is a new door in.
