A24 just dropped Official Trailer 2 for Onslaught, the Adam Wingard action-horror film that puts Adria Arjona between her kid and a pack of genetically engineered super soldiers. If you liked The Guest energy and want a theater date on the calendar, this is the cut that locks the threat, the cast, and the IMAX push.

The new clip is the harder sell after June’s first trailer. It opens on Celeste (Arjona) at a desert stop with her daughter, then cuts to lab oversight and the runaway squad that turns the night into a hunt. The soldiers read as durable, military-made killers rather than anonymous gore props, and the tone stays closer to siege survival than polished superhero pulp.

A24’s film page dates the theatrical release for September 4, 2026. The new IMAX creative repeats the same date and pushes “Experience it in IMAX,” so the studio is treating this as a big-screen event, not a quiet digital dump.
Wingard directs from a screenplay by Simon Barrett, with story credit shared by Wingard and Barrett. That is the same creative pairing behind You’re Next and The Guest. Dan Stevens is back in the Wingard orbit after The Guest, joined by Eric Wareheim, Reginald VelJohnson, Michael Biehn, UFC champion Alex Pereira, Drew Starkey, and Rebecca Hall. Arjona leads as Celeste, framed as an Army sniper who has to protect her young daughter when the experiment breaks containment in the desert.
