Mutant fans who only got a blink of Sentinels in the Doomsday trailers finally got a physical read at San Diego Comic-Con: Marvel put a decapitated Sentinel head on the booth floor.

What the SDCC prop confirms
The head is armored, segmented, and closer to classic comics and X-Men '97 energy than the rounded Mark I robots from Days of Future Past. Exposed cabling at the neck sells battle damage, which means Marvel wants you to believe these machines can be wrecked on camera, not just posed as invincible silhouettes.
Trailers already framed James Marsden's Cyclops firing into that fight. The booth piece is the first clear, sustained look at the finished industrial design language.
What the prop does not tell you
A booth head is not a plot synopsis. Marvel has not published a full Sentinel origin package for the MCU cut, who built them in this continuity, or how many factions get wiped before Doomsday's third act. Do not invent Bolivar Trask lore from a neck cable.
Also keep the Fox film design in the rearview. This is a redesign, not a soft remaster of 2014's Mark I look.
Theater date that matters
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for theaters on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars aimed at December 17, 2027. If Sentinels are a major threat beat, expect more footage between now and opening weekend, not another silent year.
