Netflix's Tyler Rake machine is rolling cameras again. Chris Hemsworth posted an on-set first look captioned along the lines of "E3 here we go," sharing frame space with Idris Elba and returning director Sam Hargrave.

Who is confirmed
Netflix Tudum already locked the returning trio: Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, Elba returning from Extraction 2, and Golshifteh Farahani back as Nik Khan. Hargrave directs again. AGBO (Anthony and Joe Russo's company) produces, with David Weil on the screenplay credit in production notices.
Director Sam Hargrave, welcoming the NSW shoot, put the ambition in plain language:
"We're very much looking forward to filming the third chapter in our Extraction saga here in New South Wales. Our goal has always been to push the boundaries of action filmmaking, and with Extraction 3, we're taking our biggest swing yet."
Production is underway in New South Wales, including Sydney and South Coast work. State materials peg roughly 450 local jobs and about $127 million in economic contribution. That is the concrete geography and payroll story, not a globe-trotting marketing collage yet.
What the first look does not tell you
There is still no public Netflix release date. Plot details remain classified on Tudum. Do not treat a clapperboard selfie as a trailer. The Extraction 2 trailer above is context for the franchise's action language while Extraction 3 is still in the can.
Hemsworth's Avengers: Doomsday schedule is the industry reason this threequel waited. That collision is logistics, not a crossover announcement.
How to watch the earlier missions
Extraction (2020) and Extraction 2 (2023) remain on Netflix. Both landed atop Netflix's English-language popularity lists in their windows. Spinoff expansion (Omar Sy series, South Korean feature) is separate from Rake's mainline shoot.
