Game Freak's Beast of Reincarnation is out now on PS5, and PlayStation's launch trailer is the cleanest public pitch for Emma, Koo, and a blighted Japan set in the year 4026.
If you have been waiting on the August 4 date since the State of Play reveal, the buy button is live and the clip is the day-one sales reel.

What Game Freak put on the table
Director Kota Furushima framed the game on PlayStation Blog as a one-person, one-dog action RPG. Emma fights with real-time sword work. Koo fires skills through a command menu that slows time when you hold Triangle. Land a just-guard parry and you bank the points that feed Koo's kit.
The setting is original: beautiful, harsh Japan in 4026, traditional design mashed with science fiction. Emma is blightborn, fused with plant-like hair she can use for traversal and falling assassinations. Koo is a malefact she should never ally with. Pablo Uchida designed both leads.
There lies a single hope... You.
That line is the hook on PlayStation's official launch trailer page. The store listing matches the tone: Blood and Violence rating, single-player, DualSense vibration and adaptive triggers, PS5 Pro Enhanced, Remote Play supported.
