Crimson Desert 1.16: 133 trading posts and supply-demand pricing

Dust off the wagon. Pearl Abyss just flipped Crimson Desert’s trading loop from side hobby into a real money route. Patch 1.16.00 adds 133 new trading posts, supply-and-demand pricing, and a map Trade tab so you can actually plan routes instead of hoping a merchant exists over the next ridge.

What actually changed in the economy

Pearl Abyss did not lightly sprinkle vendors. The trading block is a systems pass:

ChangeDetail
New posts**133**, including the merchant at **Pailune Trading Post**
Unlock ruleNew posts appear after progressing related quests
Inventory mixTypes and quantities rebalanced at posts
Supply / demandPrices change when too many goods sell at one location
Distance premiumHigher profit at posts hard to reach by wagon
Overall payoutsTrading profits increased across the board
Royal postsTrade-good prices **quadrupled**; wagons no longer vanish after delivery
New goods**24** high-value + **4** regular trade goods
StackingPackaged goods stack to **10 or 100** by price; unpackaged to **5 or 50**
FlexibilitySell single goods; move goods between wagon and horse

The supply rule is the anti-exploit tooth: flood one market, watch the local price drop. The distance rule is the adventure tooth: risk the long haul, bank the margin.

Kliff and Greymane companions ready for the road
Greymanes still do the violence; the wagon now does the spreadsheet

Wagon workshops and the Trade map tab

Seven new wagon workshops double as intermediate trading posts across Pywel:

Hernand, Demeniss, Delesyia, Pailune, Tommaso, Urdavah, Varnia

You can package and load goods there. Minimap now draws wagon routes while you drive.

The new map Trade tab is the real QoL win:

  • See trading posts, royal posts, workshops, and routes in one place

  • Filter posts that sell the goods you want

  • Open post details for full market prices

  • Average buy price for trade goods is displayed

  • Register packaged goods to map filters from horse/wagon/shop/storage UIs

  • See on-map quantities for goods currently on horses and wagons

  • Special markers for merchants touched by trade events

Ancient ruins and floating monoliths in Crimson Desert’s open world
The open world is still the product; trading is now a reason to cross it on purpose

Bank bonds (where the profits go)

Trading is only half the money loop. Bank improvements land alongside it:

  • Cap on gold bars gained/lost via bank interest adjusted to 40

  • Claim Bank Strongbox

  • Deposit 10+ bonds to start investing

  • Bonds exchange for 10 Gold Bars

  • Bond Shop for rare bond-priced items

If wagon runs finally print, bonds are the sink Pearl Abyss wants you to feed.

Also in 1.16 (so you do not miss the small stuff)

Challenge blockers got fixed (Back Alley Cleanup, Shield of Unchanging Will V, Harmonious Hooves VIII, Overwhelming Slash II). Animal interaction animations improved for platypus, feathered weasel, armadillo, porcupine, and hedgehog. Squirrel-types can be skinned. PC gets AMD FSR SDK 2.3.0 with FSR Upscaling 4.1 on RX 7000 / RDNA 3.

Still a Pearl Abyss world: weird fauna, big set pieces, and now denser trade arteries

How to play the new loop tonight

  1. Update to 1.16.00, then open the map Trade tab

  2. Filter for a high-value good you can source cleanly

  3. Buy at a dense hub, sell at a remote or royal post (do not dump everything in one town)

  4. Stage through a wagon workshop when you need to re-package mid-route

  5. Park surplus gold into bonds once you hit the 10-bond invest gate
