Cozy strategy fans on PlayStation finally get a date window and something to download today. Monster Couch's digital take on the Flamecraft board game is headed to PS5 later in 2026, and the free demo is live on PlayStation Store now.
What PlayStation and Monster Couch confirmed
Writing on the PlayStation Blog, Monster Couch community manager Mateusz Pokrzywniak said the full game lands on PS5 before the year is out, with the demo available immediately:
I'm super excited to share that Flamecraft is coming to PlayStation 5 later this year. In the meantime, if you're curious to see what awaits you in Flamecraft's whimsical town, the demo is available today on PlayStation Store!
The official PlayStation announcement trailer is the tone check:

What the demo includes
Per Monster Couch's blog post, the PS5 demo lets you:
Visit a selection of the town's unique shops
Meet Artisan and Fancy Dragons from the full game
Play against bots on three difficulty levels
Run local multiplayer for up to five players on one console
Complete a fully narrated interactive tutorial voiced by Becca Scott (Good Time Society), with a small reward for finishing it
How the full game plays
Flamecraft is a cozy, turn-based strategy adaptation where you play a Flamekeeper who can talk to dragons. You place Artisan Dragons into shops, manage resources, fire enchantments for combos, and chase Reputation toward Master of Flamecraft. Shops and dragons become a shared engine every player can use, so timing matters as much as greed.
Modes called out for the full release:
Solo, with achievements that unlock story beats about building a lighthouse beacon for distant dragons
Local custom games with friends and/or bots (up to five on one console)
Online short matchmaking, long matchmaking, or custom lobbies
