Akuma finally gets the close-up. The official Street Fighter Movie account dropped SummerSlam-night footage of Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as a powered-up Master of the Fist, then cuts to Andrew Koji’s Ryu winding up the move every arcade kid can spell: Hadouken.

Earlier trailers already sold Guile, Chun-Li, Zangief, Blanka, and company. Akuma was the missing boss energy. This clip is the first sustained tease of Akuma vs Ryu, the rivalry that sells the Satsui no Hado to people who never touched a stick.
Why Reigns-as-Akuma works on paper
Paramount’s film page lists Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as Akuma next to Koji’s Ryu, Noah Centineo’s Ken, Callina Liang’s Chun-Li, and David Dastmalchian’s M. Bison. Legendary’s Street Fighter hub keeps the same October date and World Warrior logline.
Akuma is presence and aura. Reigns already sells both for a living. Pairing that with a glowing-eye power-up and a midair kill shot is the shortest path from wrestling pop to arcade lore.
