If you finished Argonaut's 2025 Croc: Legend of the Gobbos remaster and wanted the sequel, PlayStation just put the announcement on the official channel: Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
This is a remaster of the 1999 sequel, with the development subtitle restored. Publisher Argonaut Games and developer Titanium Studios have store pages up for wishlist now. Steam still lists the date as Coming soon. No day-month launch date yet.
What PlayStation is promising in the trailer
PlayStation's description keeps the pitch specific:
Croc is totally back in Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos, coming soon to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
The trailer and Steam copy line up on the same fantasy: Croc leaves Gobbo Valley after a message in a bottle about his birth family, Baron Dante returns via the Dantinis, and the mainland run is village-hopping platforming with vehicle set pieces, not just another collect-a-thon remaster poster.

Platforms and what is confirmed
Argonaut's remaster hub links wishlist storefronts for Steam, PlayStation, Switch, GOG, and Xbox. Treat that as the multiplat map. PlayStation's own trailer only names PS5 and PS4 in the voiceover packaging, so do not invent exclusivity either way.
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| Title | *Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos* (remaster; restores the old development subtitle) |
| Platforms named by PlayStation trailer | PS5, PS4, coming soon |
| Other storefronts linked by Argonaut | Steam, Switch, Xbox, GOG |
| Developer / publisher | Titanium Studios / Argonaut Games |
| Exact launch day | **Not announced** (Steam: Coming soon) |
| Croc2pedia archive extras | Confirmed in official materials |

What is actually in the remaster package
Steam's About page is the useful checklist beyond the trailer montage:
Four mainland villages: Sailor, Cossack, Caveman, Inca
Gobbo rescues, missions, and shopping at Swap Meet Pete's
Signature jumps and tail-spins, plus a triple jump
Vehicle and ride set pieces (cars, speedboats, minecarts, hang glider, airplane)
40+ open-ended 3D platforming levels
New Guardians such as Soveena the Squid, Cannon Boat Keith, and Flavio the Thermal Fish
Croc2pedia: design docs, cut models, marketing scraps, and interviews with original Argonaut staff plus remaster team
That last item is the concrete remaster value the trailer underplays. If you buy for nostalgia archaeology, Croc2pedia is the reason. If you buy for the campaign, the village map and vehicle stages are the sell.

What the trailer does not settle
No price, no day-one Game Pass claim, no PS Plus drop, and no confirmed day inside a quarter. "Coming soon" is the only PlayStation timing language. Wishlist on your platform of choice and wait for a dated trailer.
Where to wishlist
Start with the PlayStation announcement trailer, then Steam or Argonaut's Croc 2 remaster hub for the other storefront links. Follow the Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos hub when a date lands.
