Prime Video just dropped the official trailer for The Last Sunrise, the Anna Todd adaptation headed for the platform on August 26. If you want Mallorca heat, a summer fling with a timer on it, and Eva Longoria as the mother with a hotel deal on the line, this is the clip to watch before the weekend plans fill up.
What the trailer sells
Maia Reficco plays Oriah "Ry" Pera, a college student living with a chronic illness who spends the summer in Mallorca with her mother Isolde (Longoria). Fernando Lindez is Julian Garcia, the local she falls for while trying to live in the moment. The trailer leans on romance first, then stacks pressure: Ry's condition worsens, family secrets surface, and Isolde's hotel plans collide with the Garcia family's valuable dock holdings on the island.
One summer can change everything.
That line is Prime Video's own tease on the official trailer. Carlson Young directs from a screenplay by Anna Klassen. Producers include Jennifer Gibgot, Lena Roklin, Andrew Panay, Brian Pitt, and Todd (via her Frayed Pages Media lane and Amazon MGM Studios).

Cast and creative checklist
Ry: Maia Reficco

Also billed: Andres Velencoso, Chloe Sweetlove, Sabrina Bartlett
Director: Carlson Young (The Blazing World, Upgraded, Trust)
Source: Anna Todd's novel The Last Sunrise

Release date and what is not in the trailer
Confirmed: The Last Sunrise premieres on Prime Video on August 26, 2026.
The trailer does not spell out a theatrical window (this is a streaming premiere) and it does not confirm sequel plans even if the book world keeps that chatter alive. Expect the love story, the mother-daughter hotel conflict, and the dock ownership leverage to drive the back half of the film once the vacation glow fades.
