Ubisoft Xbox games free on PC: claim 13 titles in Connect

Digital Xbox owners of 13 Ubisoft games can download matching PC copies free in Ubisoft Connect. Full list, claim steps, and what the offer does not include.

Ubisoft Xbox games free on PC: claim 13 titles in Connect

If you already bought select Ubisoft games digitally on Xbox consoles, you can pull matching PC copies at no extra charge. The catch that matters: the licenses land in Ubisoft Connect, not as Xbox Play Anywhere titles in the Xbox app for PC.

Xbox Wire spelled out the entitlement path clearly.

Players who own the digital XBOX console version of select games can now access the PC version through Ubisoft Connect at no additional cost.

That line is from the official Xbox Wire announcement. Treat Ubisoft Connect as the claim surface, update it to the latest version, then check your library.

The 13 games on the free PC list

Only these digital Xbox console titles are in the launch set:

  1. Assassin’s Creed Mirage

  2. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

  3. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

  4. Far Cry 6

  5. Immortals Fenyx Rising

  6. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

  7. Riders Republic

  8. Skull and Bones

  9. The Crew 2

  10. The Crew Motorfest

  11. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction

  12. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege

  13. Watch Dogs Legion

If a Ubisoft game is not on that list, do not expect a free PC unlock from this offer.

How to claim the PC copies

Use this checklist:

  1. Confirm you own the digital Xbox console version of a listed title (disc-only ownership is not covered by the Xbox Wire wording).

  2. Make sure your Xbox account is linked to the Ubisoft account you use on PC (standard for Ubisoft Xbox games).

  3. Install or update Ubisoft Connect for PC to the newest build.

  4. Sign in and open your library. Eligible titles should appear as PC licenses you can download.

  5. Open each game’s Properties page in Connect if you want the edition name and owned DLC breakdown.

New digital purchases of listed titles get the Xbox console and PC digital versions immediately. Existing console owners receive PC access on a progressive rollout that runs through August 4. If nothing shows yet, wait out that window before assuming you are excluded.

What you do not get

Xbox Wire’s FAQ is blunt on direction:

No, you can only claim a free PC version, not the other way around.

So PC owners do not receive free Xbox console copies. This is one-way: console digital → PC via Ubisoft Connect.

Also keep expectations tight:

  • It is not Xbox Play Anywhere. You are not buying a single Microsoft Store license that automatically behaves like a shared Xbox console and Xbox PC Play Anywhere title.

  • Launch and manage the free PC copies in Ubisoft Connect, not as a substitute “Xbox app for PC owns this forever” story.

  • Do not expect this entitlement alone to turn the PC install into a full Xbox identity / achievements Play Anywhere setup. Plan for a Ubisoft PC license experience.

  • Most edition and DLC content you own on Xbox transfers to PC at no extra cost. Consumables (in-game currency, one-time-use items) may not carry over.

  • Cross-progression only applies where a game already supports it. The free PC license does not invent shared saves for every title on the list.

Separate note: more Ubisoft stock on Xbox for PC

Alongside the free console-to-PC benefit, Xbox Wire also says a wider slate of Ubisoft premium editions and add-ons is now available to buy for Xbox on PC, with highlights including Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Rainbow Six Siege, Skull and Bones, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. That store expansion is useful if you are shopping new, but it is not the same thing as the free Ubisoft Connect claim for the 13 listed console licenses.

What to do next

Open Ubisoft Connect, update the client, and scan for the 13 titles you already own on Xbox. Prefer verifying ownership and DLC on the Properties page before you reinstall multi-gigabyte libraries.
