If you are waiting for the next Blade Runner story after 2049, Prime Video finally put a date and a first look on the calendar. The official teaser for Blade Runner 2099 landed from Comic-Con Hall H, and the limited series now has a hard premiere: November 25, 2026.
Watch the official teaser
The clip is short on plot spoilers and heavy on atmosphere: rain-slick architecture, amber haze, and a city that looks rebuilt on someone else's terms. Prime Video's own line for the drop is blunt.

Premiere date and how it drops
This is not a weekly drip. Amazon MGM Studios and Alcon Television Group confirmed that all eight episodes arrive together on November 25, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
That matters for planning: one binge window, not a two-month appointment show. Mark the date if you want day-one access with the rest of the franchise crowd.
What the teaser does not spell out
The official logline fills in the partnership the trailer only sketches. Fifty years after Blade Runner 2049, Los Angeles has been remade, and not by humans. Hunter Schafer plays Cora, a fugitive who takes on one last identity as a Blade Runner. Michelle Yeoh plays Olwen, a Replicant days from dying. Forced together, they chase a runaway whose secret could crack the city's fragile order.
Fifty years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, Los Angeles has been reborn, just not by humanity.
That synopsis comes straight from the Amazon MGM Studios / Prime Video Comic-Con announcement. Series regulars also include Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben. Recurring cast announced with the teaser includes Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke, and Maurizio Lombardi.

Who is making it
Silka Luisa (Shining Girls) is showrunner and an executive producer. Ridley Scott executive produces through Scott Free, with Alcon's Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson among the EP slate. Jonathan van Tulleken (Shōgun) directed the first two episodes and also executive produces.
None of that is in the teaser itself. It is the production map for why this feels like a franchise handoff rather than a random spin-off: Alcon still owns the Blade Runner film IP, Amazon MGM Studios is the studio partner, and the series sits 50 years after 2049 on purpose.
What is not confirmed yet
Prime Video has not published a full episode guide, runtime list, or post-2049 spoiler map beyond that logline. Treat early character theories as unverified until more footage or official materials drop. The confirmed utility today is simple: date, episode count, drop strategy, leads, and creative leads.
Where to watch
