Nanoleaf Smart LED Monitor Stand: $170 riser with Matter RGB

Desk RGB usually means tape, cable clutter, and a second app. Nanoleaf's new Smart LED Monitor Stand (with FANTAQI) tries to collapse the riser, task light, and rear bias glow into one walnut-veneer bar you can buy today for $169.99.

What Matter will and will not do

Matter is real here, but Nanoleaf is clear about the split: ecosystem apps handle basics (color, brightness, schedules via a hub). Gradients, screen mirror, and detailed scenes want the Nanoleaf mobile or desktop app. If you only care about soft white bias lighting behind the panel, that is still a cleaner install than crawling under the desk with a cheap strip.

Buyer checklist

  • Measure desk depth: the stand is 22.5 cm deep before speakers and a keyboard tray fight for space

  • Confirm you already own a 15W+ USB-C PD brick (the unit flashes red three times on weak power)

  • Decide if you need the center support column for a heavy ultrawide

  • Expect 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
