The Rick and Morty spinoff has not aired a single episode yet, and it already has another season. Adult Swim renewed President Curtis for season 2 at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24, two days before the series premiere. Production on season 2 is already underway.
When President Curtis premieres
President Curtis debuts Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Adult Swim, right after the Rick and Morty season 9 finale. Episodes hit HBO Max the next morning. So the renewal is not a victory lap after ratings. It is Adult Swim betting on the show before the public votes.

Keith David voices President Andre Curtis, the longtime Rick and Morty foil who first crashed into the show in season 2's Get Schwifty.
Stephanie Beatriz voices Banks, Curtis's chief of staff.
Jim Rash voices Special Agent O'Doyle.
Dan Harmon and James Siciliano co-created the series and executive produce.
Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen's line on the renewal: Curtis "quickly proved himself worthy of another term", with David's performance and the Harmon / Siciliano team as the reason the network wants more.
What the show is
This is the first proper Rick and Morty spinoff series. Curtis and his eccentric staff handle the crises Rick Sanchez will not: interdimensional diplomacy, paranormal messes, cryptids, alien incursions, and whatever else lands on the Resolute Desk. The pitch has been cooking since 2021. Season 1 mixes standalone weirdness with character backstory, including how Banks became a cyborg and O'Doyle's nightmare family situation with his leprechaun mother. Those threads are built to spill into season 2.
Season 2 continues the same lane: new cryptid threats, unexpected allies, and stranger sci-fi missions. Harmon has described the scope as Earth-locked and dense, closer to zooming in on one weird planet than hopping dimensions every week.
