If you grew up with DigiDestined, Tamers, or Frontier kids, Digimon just put a real calendar under the nostalgia. The franchise is kicking off its 30th Anniversary Project around the original Digital Monster toy's 1997 debut, and the headline for next year is simple: a brand-new Digimon anime is headed for a 2027 broadcast. Title, staff, and story are still locked down. The near-term plan is already concrete.
The 2027 series, and what ships first
Digimon's official anniversary materials and the Aug. 1 Digimon Official Channel wave frame the new show as a full anniversary-year TV anime, not a one-off special. DIGIMON BEATBREAK is still on the Sunday morning Fuji TV slot now. The first anniversary TV project that actually has an air date is the fan-voted retrospective Bokura ga Eranda Best Adventure (The Best Adventure We Chose).
Official teaser PV:
Digimon Official Channel's teaser description puts the anniversary on the record:
来年2027年には、デジモンはついに30周年の節目を迎えます。この記念すべきアニバーサリーイヤーに向け、「デジモン30周年プロジェクト」が始動。
In plain English: Digimon hits 30 in 2027, and the Digimon 30th Anniversary Project is now underway.

What the teaser does not spell out
